Once The Master was explaining about the advanced stage of Naama Bhakti. Then a Disciple asked The Master, "Master, While doing Simran of The Naama, for an hour or above, I fall into a state like sleep. When I recollect that Simran has been interrupted, I proceed to do Simran again. Hope it is alright?"
The Master says, "You have used the right word 'Like sleep.' Actually, we are not in the sleep state, we are rather in the Transcend state. Transcend state is a higher state of consciousness. It is our natural state.
But due to our association with ego, we consider the natural state to be something which interrupts our work. In reality, we must repeat the experience, until we realise that it is our natural state.
We understand that the Simran of The Naama given by The Master is only for creating the right atmosphere. It is after we become thoughtless that we reach our eye center, the point from where our spiritual journey begins. Our Antar Simran of The Lord's True Naama starts.
Here, our tongue is not involved in doing Simran, but it is our Inner Tongue which is immersed in Simran. The Simran of The True Namaa of The Lord by our inner tongue is called as Antar Simran in the thoughtless state. This is our Forgotten Natural State.
For example, when we are driving the car in the first gear, we can hear the sound of tyre rotation. As we shift to second gear, the sound reduces. In third gear, it further goes down. But as we reach the top gear, we are in high speed. We no longer hear the sound, but the tyre is rotating the fastest now.
Similarly, as we start doing Simran of The Naama, initially we are filled with worldly thoughts. As our Simran intensifies with time, our thoughts, like the sound of tyre rotating, reduce. As our Simran becomes Antar Simran, we too like the sound free tyre rotation, reach the state of thoughtless mind. Our mind is filled in Absolute Silence. This state is The Transcend state of consciousness. Now, our Aatma is fully awake.
The Soul knows its true identity. It Realises it is The Lord's particle. It also remembers it had lost its way and fallen into the pit of 84 lakh cycle and had become the slave of the mind. The Soul has forgotten its true nature. Its true Nature is to Live in The Remembrance of The Lord. Do Naama Bhakti.
But unfortunately, We have a created a false identity, separate from The Lord. We feel we are the boss and everything is happening according to our wish. It is because of this, our doubt has cropped up. We do not Remember The Lord and our inherent nature."
The Disciple, "How can we trace back?"
The Master's say, "Simran of The Naama given by The Master is to be done to ensure our mind does not wander in the worldly thoughts and attachment. It is given to orient our mind towards The Remembrance of The Lord.
Simran means clinging to one thought to ensure the exclusion of all other thoughts. That is the purpose of Simran, it leads to dhyana which results in Self-Realisation."
The Disciple, “Master, the spiritual path is so difficult.”
The Master's say, "No, it is very easy, easier than anything else in the world.” The Master took his handkerchief and grasped it in his hand very tightly.
He said, “You see, this is difficult, to not let go. But spiritual path is not this. Spiritual path is very easy.” The Master just opened his hand and the handkerchief fell down to the ground. “You see how easy it is. Letting go is easy. That is all there is to it.”
"When we reach the point when we want nothing else but The Lord, we will work to fill ourselves with The Lord's Naama, then we are on the spiritual path. And that is not really so difficult. All we have to do is just let go of everything else.
For example, A child was trying to carry a 20 kg object. As he walked couple of steps, he realised he could not carry it any further. Immediately, he just let go of the object and it fell down.
Similarly, The Lord and The Master want us to leave everything and do Naama Bhakti. The Lord and The Master are waiting to take over all our pains, worries and sorrow. It us we, who do not want to lose identity and hence live as the doer.
We need to remember we are not the doers. Those steadfast in Naama Bhakti, always think “I am not the doer,” even while engaged in worldly activities. With the light of divine knowledge, we see that this is only our material senses moving amongst the world's objects.
Once we attain Supreme consciousness, through Naama Bhakti, we see ourselves as mere instruments in the hands of The Lord."
It is only The Master who has the experience of Spiritual Path, can explain and make us aware of our advanced spiritual inner experiencing. It is only The Master who enables us to Find The Lord within.
We are lucky to be in the company of The True Master. Let us keep doing Naama Bhakti, this is the only way we can strengthen our bond with The Master and Realise The Lord.
