Day 14
Like the blind enveloped with darkness. Even people who have eyes cannot see when it is dark. Just imagine someone who is blind and is searching in darkness. They live in the world with their eyes shut and in darkness, not centered and even after dying their spirit lives in a place, where there is no joy. These people are losing the self there.
They have killed themselves. This human birth is so precious. Only in the human birth can you ever know that there is energy, that there is space, I am space, I am That. This Bramha gyan can happen only in this human birth and that is the purpose.
These people are living I darkness have lost the chance. It is as good as suicide. They have killed themselves. So, thank yourself that you are not among them living in the dark world. One has to be grateful "At least I got a glimpse of life. I got a glimpse of what knowledge is."
This has been the style of the ancient rishis. They used to always give the purvapaksha and uttarpaksha (both sides of a issue). Do this in the world with the knowledge of the other side also because people would ask "What is the point of the knowing the self? Why should you know?"
The have been already cleared it. Okay, you don't need to know but you are living in the dark world, and you will still be there in the next birth also. It is like someone asking what is the point of learning nutrition, you simply have to eat. Not everybody knew about nutrition before.
We just filled ourselves with carbohydrates and whatever we were getting. Their argument is that animals do not look for nutrition in their food. Humans have moved far away from nature. You can exist without learning about hygiene but you are in darkness. You can exist without knowing nutrition, but you are in darkness.
You can exist on this planet having no knowledge of the universe, but are in asurya loka, in a world where there is no centre. They are giving the pros and cons before the question of why you should do it arises in you.
They have already said, otherwise you will be in a state of a blind man searching in the darkness. So knowledge is important. And for knowledge selfless karma, nishkama karma is also important.
The benefit of knowledge is that you move away from the darkness.
Now don't worry, you will not get into asurya loka. There is no chance, even a bit, for anyone who has been in knowledge. Even after death, you cannot get into such darkness. It is almost like insurance. You are insured that you will not get into a dark world of pretas, of the dead spirits.
Usually people have this question that someone is doing black magic on them and spirits are coming. I tell you, no spirit, no black magic, nothing can touch you. Be assured. None of these things can touch you because you have put a step into knowledge. One step in knowledge takes care of the whole thing.
If at all someone puts these kinds of fears in your head, just smile. Nothing can affect you. Who can be afflicted? Those who are not interested in spiritual knowledge.
