Day 27
Those who worship the unmanifest enter into blinding darkness but those who are devoted to the unmanifest enter into greater darkness. By meditating on the manifest some things are obtained and by meditation on the unmanifest something else is obtained - that is what they say.
The wise have said that worship of the manifest and worship of the unmanifest yield different results. He who knows the creation and destruction both as one overcomes death through the knowledge of destruction and obtains immortality through the knowledge of creation. You take medicine to get rid of sickness. Specific results are given by different medicines.
For example, you exercise when you go to a gymnasium and there are different exercises for different parts of the body - one for the chest one for the shoulders, another for the calves and another for the back, specific exercises for specific parts of the body.
Similarly there are specific medicines for specific parts of the body and also specific music tunes to create specific moods. People in the entertainment field know it very well. They know where to play what type of music, which, in turn, is not played at a time of celebration. Ragas are the tunes and there is a section of Upavedas just for the tunes.
In music, you will sing Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Da Ni. There are seven notes that are attributed to seven animals. You will see that these seven animals only make the sound of their particular note. The elephant, though big, has a very high pitch. It says Ni. Nishad (the full name of the musical note Ni is Nishad) in music comes from the elephant.
Pa comes from birds, nightingale. Ma comes from the cow, goats and sheep Each animal has its voice on a particular note. The human system has the entire range.
