Day 17
He is all - pervading, shining, body less untouched, he has no muscles. He is pure and sinless. The wise ones say that He is omniscient and self born. He has been functioning everywhere since eternity.
This question has been haunting mankind, especially in the Occident for a long time. If God is all, permeating then why do wrong things happen? Why is there misery? If God is all - permeating then there is no place for Satan. Either He is in Satan too or Satan does not exist.
If Satan exists, then God cannot be all permeating. You can say God permeates everywhere except in Satan. If God is Omniscient, Omnipotent, Omnipresent - these are the three qualities of God, the presence of Satan disqualifies God from all the three.
Because somebody has equal or more potency than Him, so He is not Omniscient or Omnipotent. He really is Omniscient, why would He allow Satan to function when He is functioning Himself? These philosophical questions have arisen and there has been no answer.
For centuries debates have happened in the Occident.
In the Orient, they have found a solution. They found one level below that of God and there they placed angels and demons. This is an area of duality, you can keep fighting here but when you go to the level of God, to the level of Brahman, it is only one thing and It is all permeating.
There is no challenge to God. There is no other. What is the relation between Brahman and this world? The best example could be a spider. A spider has created a Web from its own saliva. It has taken no external material. It has created a web and remains in the web.
Divinity created duality for its own entertainment, like the director who creates the hero and the villain and enjoys (making the movie). This is the essence of it. Now the director is free from the afflictions of the opposites, the hero and the villain. This duality is only relative and then going back from there, is the absolute. Both have significance.
