There was this Sufi saint whose name was Mansoor Hallaj. He said that he was God, and he was also crucified. The only mistake he made was being born in the wrong place. If he was born in India, people would have thought he wasn't avadhut, and great master. In his country, they thought that he was a stupid and a mad person. It was his experience. And even in his last moments, Mansoor was told to declare that he was not God. And he asked how he could say that he was not God. All was God. That everything was made up of God. He said that it did not matter if his head and arms were chopped off. That he was not worried about it.
It is a state. It is reality. Bhagavan tvam. You are Bhagavan. I am the servant of God, and I am the part of God, and I am God. That is the fulfilment of love. Love, devotion and dedication begins as being servant of God. 'I serve you, and I am at your feet'. But if it stops there,it is not complete. Say, 'I am part of you'. Servant implies a little distance between God and the devotee. For how long are you a servant? Maybe during the seva time. Afterwards, servant-ness falls off. On the twenty four hours, you can be a servant for may be four to eight hours. Rest of the time you still remain far away.
So Sakha. You are my companion, a part of me. I am a part of you. A servant always wants to be like the master. So there is a little competition, even in being a servant. Servants are waiting. When the master is not there, they become the master. You will see this in many estates. It is so even in the White House! When the President is not there, the secretary becomes the President. But when you are a part of it all, there is a responsibility. There is sharing and there is love. Bhajan, bhakti - all these dawn. And the culmination of it is - 'I am That'. There's no difference. 'I am You and You are me' - Bhagavan.
Ashtavakra has closed the hole through which the mind could have escaped. Now it feel - bhagavan tvam. The mind wants to hanker on to something in the future; that in the future, something is going to happen. You feel that you are going to realize God. God is going to come to you and ask, with much love, what you want. That He is going to take you to heaven in his chariot. Forget about it! Wake up and see that you are in the ocean called God. You are breathing in God. You are resting in God, and you are fighting in God! When you are unaware, you fight and experience all the downward and negative emotions. And, when you are aware, you are in the bliss of His presence. Bhagavan tvam. Bhagavan tvam prakrteh parah. This is such a precious word - Prakrteh parah.
